WISE Spotlight – Brittany Canaski & Hello Velocity

WISE Spotlight - Brittany Canaski

Brittany Canaski-01

WISE Spotlight: Brittany Canaski and Hello Velocity

From private label professional to leadership coach and entrepreneur, Brittany Canaski’s career is a powerful example of intentional transformation. As the founder of Hello Velocity, she’s helping redefine what leadership looks like for women. In her eyes, leadership is centered on self-awareness, meaningful growth, and long-term balance.

Brittany’s private label journey began in 2014 as an analyst at Daymon, working within the Own Brands division. After relocating to Charlotte to be closer to family, she continued supporting clients remotely in marketing and brand strategy. Despite her success, she found herself searching for something more fulfilling.

“By 2019, I had what I call my quarter-life crisis,” Brittany shared. “I had the job I thought I always wanted, but I still felt like something was missing.”

That’s when she began working with a coach which was a decision that would change everything. “It helped me understand my strengths and blind spots, and I started to reconnect with who I really am at the core,” she said. What began as self-discovery soon became a mission: to help others experience the same transformation.

In 2019, Brittany started a year-long coach training program while simultaneously working full-time; and by 2020, she launched Hello Velocity, a leadership coaching and training business designed to help high-achieving women and teams operate at their best.

Why “Hello Velocity”?

The name itself reflects Brittany’s values: “Hello” embodies her warm, approachable energy; “Velocity” captures the momentum she brings to her clients’ personal and professional goals. “It was actually a tagline my brand strategist came up with for something else,” she laughed, “but it just clicked. That’s what I wanted; I wanted to help people move forward, faster, but with clarity.”

Changing the Game for Women in Leadership

Brittany’s approach to coaching is grounded in real-world experience and a deep understanding of the unique challenges women in leadership face. Through her work with individuals and corporate teams, she focuses on:

  • Work-life balance: “Most of my coaching clients don’t come in asking for balance, but that’s always what it comes down to,” she said. Her coaching helps clients prioritize their energy, manage habits like perfectionism or procrastination, and align personal values with professional goals.
  • Confidence-building: “Confidence is the most underrated leadership skill,” Brittany emphasized. Her strategies include learning to say “no” without guilt, delegating effectively, and asking for help early—not as a weakness, but as a strength.
  • Team performance: Whether she’s facilitating strategic planning sessions or leadership workshops, Brittany helps teams build trust, improve communication, and play to each other’s strengths. In collaboration with WISE, she recently presented her proprietary framework, The 6 Performance Personas, at the 2025 Velocity Institute Conference, helping attendees identify how different working styles affect collaboration and productivity.

WISE – A Lifelong Commitment

Brittany’s connection to WISE runs deep. She first got involved in 2017 after attending the Velocity Conference and being inspired by a presentation from Jen Linke.

“I remember thinking, ‘I need to be part of this,’” Brittany said. “I wanted to connect with other women, especially since I was working remotely, and I’ve always loved personal development.”

Since then, she’s been a committed volunteer with the Professional Development Committee for eight years. She even won the Volunteer of the Year Award with WISE in 2023.

New Platforms, Bigger Impact

In 2024, Brittany launched The Hello Velocity Podcast on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube, offering free coaching-style insights on topics like time management, career transitions, confidence, and more. The platform is more than a business funnel; it’s a way for her to share accessible, actionable advice with anyone who needs it.

“Coaching can be expensive, and not everyone has access to it,” she explained. “The podcast and YouTube content let me give back in a meaningful way.”

Her upcoming work-life balance webinar, which is taking place July 11 at noon EST, will bring season one of the podcasts to life. Attendees will receive a free worksheet to build their own personalized balance plan, combining habits, mindset tools, and accountability strategies.
